Discover A New Holiday Destination With A Holiday In Italy

By Alison Gilmour

Though Italy remains a popular holiday destination for many, it is surprising to learn that only a small number of these are taken by the coast. With such a wealth of wonderful destinations however, perhaps it is time to discover the beauty of beach holidays in Italy.

A beach resort which has been popular for sometime however is on the island of Sardinia. Quite possibly the best beaches within the whole of Europe are here, and with the Mediterranean gently lapping its shores alongside the wonderful resorts that line the coast, it is still relatively quiet.

Tuscany is one of the most popular destinations throughout the country, but a move away from the beautiful countryside and hills delivers some breathtaking beaches. A worthy mention would have to be Monte Argentario.

Here in particular there are some wonderful private villas which can be rented for days or weeks at a time. Though the sea waters are inviting, the appeal of a private pool to relax in through the day or night is always welcome. Other great destinations include the beaches in Gallipoli and Sicily, where Syracuse is a always welcoming.

The benefits of a holiday in Sicily offer much more than this however, and a trip that includes the Egadi Islands is always memorable. Set in amazingly clear seas, it is no wonder the seafood here is well respected throughout the country. As we're talking about Italy; that is saying a lot!

For a full on beach experience, Viareggio on the western coast has amazingly decadent seafront hotels. Whilst to the east Rimini is a place to head to for those full of the party spirit, though there is also a lot to offer for those looking for culture and tradition.

Holidays in Italy are always full of opportunities, and there is no reason why beaches cannot play a full part in this. With wonderful foods and wines to enjoy too, relaxing as the warm seas gently lap against the white sands is hard to beat.

Four Top Cities To Visit On Touring Holidays In Canada

By Thomson Day

If you are planning on taking touring holidays in Canada then there will certainly be a great deal that you can see and do during your travels. If you are someone who enjoys visiting cities, then there are great ones that will be at your disposal in this wide and diverse country. As such, here are the top four cities that you could visit when touring around Canada.

Possibly the best city in Canada, although it is completely subjective, might well be Toronto. Given the size of the city and its wonderful cultural diversity, it is commonly mistaken as the capital city of the country. There is simply so much to see and do here that you would have to spend a fair amount of time navigating your way around the various sites and sounds on offer.

Driving north from New York and over the Canadian border will take you to the city of Montreal. Situated in the very strong French province of Quebec, you will certainly know of the French influence as soon as you arrive, with its architecture and Franco feel.

Just a little north of Montreal you will find Quebec city, the provincial capital. Though it may be not quite so well-known, Quebec city has possibly the best preserved old town with the whole of Canada, with many different cobblestone streets that meander through the city, and beautiful old wooden buildings that date right back to the 17th century.

Vancouver is slightly different from the other cities in the country, and as far more laid-back and chic in its overall feel. Situated down on the west coast, it is set in some very beautiful natural bays and inlets, and would certainly provide competition for its southern neighbour, Seattle.

Certainly, if you were to visit Canada then you would not be able to come away saying you completed your travels without visiting at least one or two of these wonderful cities.
