Mexico has many different cruise routes along its thousands of miles of coastline. Traditionally itineraries head for the Mexican Riviera, Baja and Cozumel. The old town areas of Baja allow holidaymakers to mix cultural exploration with coastal scenery and incredible volcanic landscapes.
Also, Cozumel, near the Yucatan, has a number of underwater national parks and Mayan archaeological sites. Mexican cruises prove very popular, despite the country's socially and politically tempestuous nature, and locations are generally very safe for travellers.
Aloha Hawaii
Hawaii is one of the friendliest places in the world. It might be one of the fifty states of America, but Hawaii could not be further away from the traditional image of the country. There is a rich selection of things to do across exotic islands, such as Oahu and Maui, and the islanders are very welcoming.
The volcanic features and temperate climate are perhaps Hawaii's most distinguishing features. However, the waters are great here too: diving is a popular pursuit and there are plenty of opportunities to indulge in whale-watching. The fauna might be intriguing, but Hawaii has an equally fascinating culture which is worth explore. Everyone should experience a traditional luau at some point in their lives.
