Going on a vacation is very stressful. This calls for a lot of partying and travelling. The strains on your finances all these would cause will definitely add to the stress. Hotel staff would surely know which sights are within walking distance from your hotel, thus asking them would be great. You just don't get to exercise, but save up on bus fares too. If it's less than a mile far, then walking is the best option rather than taking a bus or a cab.

There are other advantages from taking your workout out on the streets. Dancing can be one other option. Clubbing lets you sweat all those unwanted pounds off and socialise at the same time.

Find out if there are any parks or jogging paths in proximity to your hotel. It's a good way to take in the view while you're burning all those calories you had for breakfast. Going for a run through attractive waterways allows you to get in shape while giving you an opportunity to explore the sights in the city at the same time, allowing you to pick out a nice place for dinner. You can also elect to enrol in classes which are short term. You can either check out belly dancing or zumba classes provided by the local fitness centre. This is a means for you to help and support local business while shedding those unwanted pounds away.

If you're travelling because you're on vacation, then sightseeing on foot is a perfect option for you to improve your fitness.
